The Instructional Framework
Our studio provides rigorous technical training in double bass and electric bass. We guide students across a broad continuum—from European Art Music to the expressive traditions of the African Diaspora—blending instrumental technique with comprehensive musicianship (theory, improvisation, ear training, and composition). We operate on a rolling 4-week block enrollment model to support students seeking progressive, consistent skill acquisition and long-term artistic growth. Students who maintain continuous enrollment throughout the school year qualify for our Summer Retention Bonus. Studio placement is determined through an initial consultation to ensure alignment with the student’s technical goals and commitment level.
The Foundation Tier - $300/4-weeks
Ideal for middle schoolers and adults building core technique and repertoire.
Rate: $75 for 45 minutes
Includes: Four weekly 45-minute private sessions
The Professional Prep Tier - $360/4-weeks
Ideal for high school students, AP candidates, and college prep.
Rate: $90 per hour
Includes: Four weekly 60-minute private sessions
Flex-Scheduling & Online Coaching
Specialized sight-reading, ear training, and theory for working professionals.
Music Theory & Writing: $75/hr (Block Enrolled) | $90/hr (Non-Enrolled)
Standard Flex Instruction: $250 upfront ($125 deposit + $125 first lesson). $75 rescheduling fee for no-shows.

Studio Enrollment & Policies
Cancellation & Rescheduling Covenant
To protect our shared commitment to practice, we require 24 hours' advance notice to cancel or reschedule. Unused makeup lessons expire at the end of the current 4-week cycle.
Participation & Safety
Parents and adult students assume responsibility for physical safety and personal equipment during studio visits.
Creative Photo & Video Release
We occasionally capture media to document progress. Families may opt out by submitting written notice via our Contact Page.
Tuition & 4-Week Block Structure
Tuition secures your weekly slot and is billed in 4-week blocks. Continuous enrollment earns a Summer Retention Bonus.
