Bass Camp Workshops (K-12)
Bass Camp Workshops provide high-impact, curriculum-aligned technical support for K-12 music ensembles through specialized instruction in double bass and electric bass.
Our goal is to help instrumentalists double on bass and recruit non-ensemble students, ultimately growing your roster of bassists and elevating your ensemble's overall performance standard. We achieve this by offering:
- Intensive Workshops: Focused, one-time sessions designed to resolve specific technical challenges, prepare for auditions, or introduce new harmonic concepts.
- Group Instruction Modules: Participants are arranged in cohorts of 4–8 students based on experience. Engagement runs in 4-week structured blocks to ensure continuous progression and measurable ensemble integration.
Primary Goals for Traditional Performers:
- Skill Development: Help learners develop ensemble and solo skills on the double bass.
- Pathways to Professionalism: Create routes for students to become skilled amateur, semi-professional, or professional musicians.
- Community Engagement: Enhance opportunities for participants to join both competitive and non-competitive music ensembles, thereby contributing to the community's cultural vibrancy.

Tuition & Institutional Rates:
We offer flexible financial structures for both individuals and institutional partners:
- Individual Student Enrollment (4-Week Module) Standard tuition rates apply per student for open-enrollment cohorts. Please contact us for the current seasonal rate and availability.
- Institutional Flat Rate (School Partnerships) For schools seeking to host a private module, we provide a customized flat-rate institutional quote based on cohort size (up to 8 students) and frequency.
Dates & Registration Deadlines:
Workshops run concurrently with the standard academic calendar. Registration for 4-week blocks opens 30 days prior to the start of the module. Summer intensive dates are announced annually in April.
Host Locations & Travel:
Workshops are conducted on-site at designated host facilities. We currently serve institutions and designated rehearsal spaces within Howard, Prince George's, and Montgomery counties. Students are responsible for their own transportation to the host site.
Safety, Conduct & Supervision
In-class instructional supervision and conduct strictly adhere to HCPSS guidelines (including PBIS and Policy 1040) under instructor oversight. Facility management, general campus monitoring, and arrival/departure logistics remain the responsibility of the host site or ensemble director.
Equipment & Facility Risk
Participants are solely responsible for maintaining personal instrument insurance and safety. Lobo Lowe LLC and its personnel assume no liability for the damage, loss, or theft of personal property before, during, or after sessions.
Media Release & Opt-Out
Sessions may be documented via audio, video, or photography for educational and promotional purposes in accordance with studio policies. Parents or guardians wishing to opt out must submit written notice via our Contact Page.
Signature & Waiver Requirement
To participate, all site hosts, adult participants, or parents/guardians of minor students must physically or digitally complete the initial verification and liability release prior to participation. We will provide proof of professional liability insurance and active criminal background checks for participating counties upon finalization of the site agreement.
