Artistic Director

David Lowe - Artistic Director, Bassist, Educator

David Lowe is the Director of Lobo Lowe LLC, a mission-driven organization dedicated to strengthening communities, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and promoting diversity and inclusion through the power of music.

The genesis of this mission lies in David’s origins as a self-taught electric bassist—mentored on the bandstand by Rhythm and Blues masters—to an experienced educator and artist. His early experiences and aspirations compelled him to create a platform that honors his mentors, provides artistic excellence, and fosters community engagement and learning.

As a bassist, writer, and educator, David focuses on creating and delivering high-value, specialized music programs. These initiatives include private instruction, the curated World Music and Jazz performance-lecture program, and group services for underserved communities, all designed to ensure high-quality, culturally-rich musical experiences are accessible to diverse audiences.

Lobo Lowe LLC’s programs embody this vision:

  • Bass Camp: “Bridging Opportunities for Aspiring Young Bassists in Underserved Communities”
  • The World Music and Jazz Program: “Promoting Cross-Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Through Food, Music, and Conversation”
  • Lobo Lowe LLC’s Private Studio: Offering culturally relevant instruction for students who wish to develop skills in popular music, jazz, and art music.

Lobo Lowe LLC is deeply committed to ensuring its high-quality music education is accessible to all. To promote affordability and remove financial barriers, the organization provides targeted discounts to highly motivated students and referrals who demonstrate financial need. Furthermore, through a fiscal sponsor, Lobo Lowe LLC can accept donations, offering individuals a direct way to contribute to a student's musical education and development.
